Located on the second floor of the hospital, the Pediatric Unit consists of the Pediatric Emergency Department (Peds ED) and the Pediatric Inpatient Unit. They are designed to meet the urgent and critical medical needs of pediatric patients in an environment that is quiet, calm and secure. Because they are located together, the same team of pediatric specialists who see children in the emergency setting continue taking care of them should they require admission to the hospital. A consistent care team ensures coordinated, quality pediatric care, and provides the calming confidence of familiar faces that our pediatric patients find comforting.
An entire team of Pediatric Hospitalists is available to provide around-the-clock pediatric care, led by Dr. Robert Wack. All of the Pediatric Hospitalists are board certified pediatricians from the best training programs in the country.
